VIRTUAL ROUND TABLE: LOW CARBON CITIES – DRIVING THE ZERO-CARBON TRANSITION

The impacts of climate change have become increasingly critical in affecting our daily lives, which is the result of the increase in the global average temperatures. Hence, in support of Malaysia’s commitment to the Paris Agreement which is 45% (conditional) reduction in GHG emissions intensity of GDP by 2030 compared to 2005 GHG levels, cities implemented low carbon actions to minimise their carbon footprint.

In this roundtable, we bring together experts and few LAs aiming to stimulate dialogue on discussing Malaysia cities’ low carbon actions potential to drive the zero-carbon transition by reviewing Hong Kong’s multidisciplinary effort towards it. The virtual roundtable will be carried out according to the agenda below.
